Une cuisine avec îlot transforme un appartement des années 90
Dans une rue résidentielle de Madrid, cet appartement des années 90 a changé de style grâce à une rénovation bien pensée. Avec un budget serré, ses propriétaires souhaitaient transformer son plan cloisonné en un espace pratique et agréable. Construit dans les années 90, l’appartement présentait une distribution peu adaptée aux usages actuels. Les architectes du studio Apunto ont donc repensé la circulation, la lumière et les volumes. Leur idée directrice consistait à respecter l’identité du bâtiment tout en simplifiant la vie quotidienne. La cuisine, autrefois isolée, a été déplacée pour être intégrée au salon. Cette nouvelle position lui apporte une lumière naturelle généreuse et une présence centrale. Cette cuisine avec îlot est désormais la vedette de la grande pièce de vie. Les moulures, les rosaces et certains choix graphiques rappellent un esprit ancien, sans alourdir l’ensemble.
L' îlot central est utilisé comme plan de travail et table informelle. Habillé de marbre blanc, cet élément structure visuellement l’espace. Autour de lui, les usages se partagent naturellement, entre repas, repos et travail. Les rangements se concentrent sur un mur unique , intégrant les appareils nécessaires. Les matériaux assurent une continuité esthétique avec le salon, renforçant l’impression d’un seul volume. L’éclairage combine sources indirectes et points précis, adaptés aux différents moments de la journée. Dans les toilettes, des carreaux rétro, un sol graphique et des murs clairs donnent un charme à l'ancienne. Located on a residential street in Madrid, this 1990s flat has been given a style makeover thanks to a well-thought-out renovation. Working with a tight budget, the owners wanted to transform its compartmentalised layout into a practical and pleasant space. Built in the 1990s, the flat's layout was not well suited to modern living. The architects at Apunto studio therefore redesigned the flow, lighting and volumes. Their guiding principle was to respect the identity of the building while simplifying everyday life. The kitchen, which used to be separate, has been moved to be integrated into the living room. This new position provides it with generous natural light and a central presence. This kitchen with an island is now the star of the large living room. The mouldings, rosettes and certain graphic choices evoke an antique feel without weighing down the overall look.
The central island is used as a worktop and informal table. Clad in white marble, this element visually structures the space. Around it, uses are naturally divided between dining, relaxation and work. Storage is concentrated on a single wall, incorporating the necessary appliances. The materials ensure aesthetic continuity with the living room, reinforcing the impression of a single space. The lighting combines indirect sources and specific points, adapted to different times of the day. In the toilet, retro tiles, a graphic floor and light-coloured walls give it an old-fashioned charm.
