Rénover un studio minuscule demande imagination, précision et quelques idées audacieuses. Dans ce petit appartement, une designer  a imaginé un intérieur pratique, coloré et bien organisé, capable d’accueillir une vraie chambre, une cuisine complète et même un espace bureau. À première vue, la transformation d'un studio de 19m2 comme celui-ci situé en centre ville semblait difficile. La surface était vraiment restreinte. Les propriétaires pensaient d’abord à un investissement locatif, pour des séjours courts ou longs. Ils ont donc demandé à la designer Lidiya Napreenko, du studio Mimosa, d’imaginer un intérieur confortable et simple à vivre. L’objectif était clair. Il fallait intégrer un coin nuit, une cuisine fonctionnelle, et des rangements. Les meubles de cuisine ont été réalisés sur mesure afin d’utiliser chaque centimètre disponible. Cette décision a permis d’installer tout l’électroménager nécessaire dans un espace pourtant très réduit.

L’organisation de ce studio de 19m2 repose sur une idée simple. Plutôt qu’un salon qui a été totalement oublié dans la configuration, l’espace principal accueille une cuisine généreuse pour cette surface et une chambre séparée. Le coin nuit intègre une étagère à la tête du lit, utilisée comme table de chevet. À proximité, une commode et un bureau complètent l’aménagement pour le télétravail. La palette de couleurs dynamise l’ensemble. Les murs oscillent entre un bleu profond et un vert émeraude apaisant avec des touches de rouge. Les portes et plinthes reprennent ces nuances pour créer une continuité visuelle. Les œuvres de l’artiste Polina Cherkasova ont été choisies presque par hasard, puis intégrées à la décoration. The transformation of a 19m2 studio into a functional and colourful space

Renovating a tiny studio requires imagination, precision and a few bold ideas. In this small flat, a designer has created a practical, colourful and well-organised interior, capable of accommodating a proper bedroom, a fully-fitted kitchen and even a workspace. At first glance, transforming a 19m2 studio like this one, located in the city centre, seemed difficult. The space was extremely limited. The owners initially envisaged it as a rental investment, for short or long stays. They therefore asked designer Lidiya Napreenko, from the Mimosa studio, to create a comfortable and easy-to-live-in interior. The objective was clear. It was necessary to incorporate a sleeping area, a functional kitchen and storage. The kitchen units were made to measure to make use of every available centimetre. This decision made it possible to fit all the necessary appliances into what was, after all, a very small space.

The studio’s layout is based on a simple idea. Rather than a living room, which has been entirely omitted from the design, the main space features a kitchen that is generous for the size of the area and a separate bedroom. The sleeping area includes a shelf at the head of the bed, used as a bedside table. Nearby, a chest of drawers and a desk complete the setup for working from home. The colour palette brings the whole space to life. Its walls alternate between a deep blue and a soothing emerald green with touches of red. The doors and skirting boards echo these shades to create visual continuity. The works by artist Polina Cherkasova were chosen almost by chance, then incorporated into the décor.
