Just 50 square meters… but a true three-room apartment cleverly optimized
Discover this 50 square meters apartment, optimized, bright and decorated with vintage pieces, and offering a view of the mountains
Designed to quickly appeal to a future tenant or buyer, this just 50 square meters apartment was decorated and optimized by designer Elena Drobotova, founder of DrobotovaDesign. For this private investment project, she envisioned a space capable of accommodating a variety of lifestyles. The approach is based on collaborative decisions made possible by the client, who placed complete trust in her. The space has become more open and inviting, without compromising on either comfort or elegance.
Upon entering, the eye is naturally drawn to the large windows in the living room, where the mountains stretch out in the distance. The layout has been completely redesigned to incorporate all necessary functions into a space intended for a couple with or without children. The kitchen opens onto the living room and dining area within a single living space.
It features a master bedroom and a second versatile room, shown here as a guest bedroom and office. And although the floor area is just 50 square meters, the result is a truly comfortable three-room apartment. The bathroom entrance has been modified to improve the flow of movement.
The color palette is based on white, enlivened by well-chosen warm tones. Its existing terracotta floor sets the tone and adds a warm presence. Deep green hues balance the overall look with a cooler touch. The textiles, ranging from linen to rust tones, add texture without weighing down the atmosphere. Furniture blends vintage pieces and contemporary designs with a beautiful balance. Some elements stand out, such as the bathroom cabinet brought back from Ulan-Ude and carefully restored.
Storage solutions are discreet. Strategically placed curtains provide a solution that is both aesthetic and economical. A mirror in the kitchen amplifies the light and creates a pleasant interplay of perspectives. Art integrates directly into the space and contributes to its visual identity. The result is a balanced interior, designed for effortless living and entertaining. Team: Elena Khuraskin - Ostap Zakarian. Photo: Natalie Gertz
