Une chambre sur la mer dans les Caraïbes

L'architecte Chris Pardo, à la tête de Chris Pardo Design, a longtemps rêvé de vivre sur une île. C'est dans les Iles Vierges, à Ste Croix, qu'il a réalisé son projet de posséder une propriété dans les Caraïbes, en achetant il y a 30 ans un boutique-hôtel qu'il vient de rénover totalement : le Waves Cane Bay. Avec les vues sur la mer, les chambres et suites, sont des lieux où la décoration mêle les couleurs de la nature, et les matériaux authentiques comme le bois et le rotin. L'espace que nous découvrons dans ces photos est une suite aménagée comme un studio, avec une cuisine, et un lit confortable, et si elle nous séduit déjà par son esthétique exotique sans clichés, sa vue sur l'océan depuis sa terrasse privative est la perfection. L'ensemble est chaleureux et confortable, élégant sans être intimidant, sans luxe ostentatoire. Une vraie réussite !

Architect Chris Pardo, head of Chris Pardo Design, has long dreamed of living on an island. It was in the Virgin Islands, in St Croix, that he realised his project of owning a property in the Caribbean, when he bought a boutique hotel 30 years ago that he has just completely renovated: the Waves Cane Bay. With views of the sea, the bedrooms and suites are places where the decoration mixes the colours of nature and authentic materials such as wood and rattan. The space we discover in these photos is a suite fitted out like a studio flat, with a kitchen and a comfortable bed, and if it already seduces us by its exotic aesthetic without stereotypes, its view on the ocean from its private terrace is perfection. The whole is warm and comfortable, elegant without being intimidating, without ostentatious luxury. A real success !
