Un loft authentique dans une ancienne usine à Toronto

C'est dans une ancienne usine conçue par les architectes Prack et Perrine en 1916, que ce loft authentique a été créé après une rénovation totale du bâtiment. Sa surface de 101 m² se divise sur deux niveaux, le premier accueillant l'énorme pièce de vie ouverte avec sa cuisine avec îlot en inox, digne d'un cuisinier professionnel, et sa hauteur sous plafond de plus de 4 mètres. Ses fenêtres d'origine de type Crittal donnent sur le paysage urbain, et les briques ont été peintes afin d'apporter plus de lumière à l'intérieur. Le sol en béton poli et les conduits et tuyauterie présents à l'origine du bâtiment achèvent la base de cet espace anciennement industriel désormais meublé avec un style contemporain. A l'étage, l'unique chambre est installée sur une mezzanine ouverte sur le salon, et bien que le plafond y soit assez bas, il n'y a pas de sensation d'étouffement, grâce à l'ouverture de cet espace repos sur la pièce principale.

This authentic loft was created in a former factory designed by architects Prack and Perrine in 1916, after a total renovation of the building. Its 101 m² of floor space is divided into two levels, the first of which houses the enormous open-plan living area with its stainless steel kitchen island, worthy of a professional chef, and its ceiling height of over 4 metres. Its original Crittal windows overlook the cityscape, and the bricks have been painted to bring more light into the interior. The polished concrete floor and the original pipes and ducts complete the base of this former industrial space now furnished with a contemporary style. Upstairs, the only bedroom is set on a mezzanine floor open to the living room, and although the ceiling is quite low, there is no sense of suffocation, thanks to the openness of this sleeping area to the main room.
