Ce mini studio de 13m2 (appelé également "une studette" en France) est situé dans un quartier animé de Paris, et sert de pied-à-terre régulier pour une famille de trois personnes, un couple et leur jeune fils. C'était donc un défi pour l'aménager et en faire un lieu confortable malgré cette toute petite surface. C'est l'architecte Nicolas Payet de l'agence Marn Déco qui a relevé brillamment ce défi, transformant ce lieu grâce à l'utilisation de verre et de couleurs fortes qui sortent la décoration du banal . On utilise souvent le blanc intégral dans ce type de surface, et ici ce n'est pas le choix qui a été fait, bien au contraire.

Les volumes disponibles ont été optimisés, en pensant en mètres cubes et non en mètres carrés. Le lit du couple coulisse d'un tiers sous les rangements fabriqués sur mesure,  et se transforme en canapé la journée, pour éviter d'avoir à déplier un convertible. La salle de bain de ce mini studio de 13m2 est installée entre la cuisine et la chambre/salon et éclairée par une fenêtre en verre dépoli laissant passer la lumière de l'unique fenêtre de la cuisine vers le reste de ce studio. 13m2 mini studio in Paris for three

This 13m2 mini studio (also called "a studette" in France) is located in a lively area of Paris, and serves as a regular pied-à-terre for a family of three, a couple and their young son. It was therefore a challenge to fit it out and make it a comfortable place despite its small surface area. The architect Nicolas Payet from the Marn Déco agency took up this challenge brilliantly, transforming the place through the use of glass and strong colours that take the decoration out of the ordinary. White is often used throughout in this type of space, and here this is not the choice that was made, quite the contrary.

The available volumes have been optimised, thinking in cubic metres and not in square metres. The couple's bed slides a third under the custom-made storage units and becomes a sofa during the day, to avoid having to unfold a sofa bed. The bathroom of this 13m2 mini studio is located between the kitchen and the bedroom/living room and is lit by a frosted glass window that lets the light from the kitchen's only window into the rest of the studio.
