Le choix d'une décoration intemporelle pour cet appartement de Bilbao s'est imposé tout de suite à la décoratrice Raquel González chargée de sa rénovation. Les 125m2 de l'appartement construit dans les années 1970 nécessitaient une refonte totale, avec une nouvelle distribution pour l'adapter à la vie familiale de ses nouveaux propriétaires, et à leurs goûts pour la décoration contemporaine. Les couleurs se marient aux matériaux naturels, bleu dans le salon, vert dans la chambre, pour offrir à ce lieu, une atmosphère moderne mais pas trop neutre.
La lumière naturelle est mise en valeur par cette nouvelle distribution, car elle peut désormais circuler plus librement, grâce par exemple à l'installation d'une cloison vitrée entre le salon et l'entrée. La cuisine a été conservée au même endroit qu'auparavant mais a été agrandie en ouvrant l'ancienne buanderie adjacente. Elle est séparée de la salle à manger par une autre cloison vitrée. L'appartement semble désormais pouvoir traverser les années sans devenir vieillot grâce à cette décoration intemporelle qui allie le classicisme à la modernité. Photo : David Montero. The choice of a timeless decoration for this flat in Bilbao was an immediate choice for the decorator Raquel González, who was in charge of its renovation. The 125m2 flat, built in the 1970s, needed a complete overhaul, with a new layout to adapt it to the family life of its new owners, and to their taste for contemporary decoration. The colours are combined with natural materials, blue in the living room and green in the bedroom, to give the place a contemporary atmosphere that is not too neutral.
Natural light is enhanced by this new layout, as it can now circulate more freely, thanks for example to the installation of a glass partition between the living room and the entrance. The kitchen has been kept in the same place as before, but has been enlarged by opening up the adjacent former laundry room. It is separated from the dining room by another glass partition. The flat now seems to be able to go through the years without becoming old-fashioned thanks to this timeless decoration that combines classicism with modernity. Photo: David Montero.
