Il existe de nombreuses solutions pour agrandir visuellement un petit appartement. Privilégier le blanc et les couleurs claires pour mettre en valeur la lumière, laisser le regard s'échapper sur un point focal près d'une fenêtre, et également l'utilisation des miroirs. C'est d'ailleurs ce que j'ai fait chez moi (vous avez une photo en fin d'article), et j'avoue que je suis très satisfaite du résultat. Il offre une nouvelle perspective à mon appartement pas très grand (enfin suffisant pour une personne qui vit sans enfant). Comme dans cet appartement suédois qui date de la fin du 19e siècle, et qui a conservé ses éléments d'origine magnifiques comme les moulures et les vieilles briques (je n'ai hélas pas ces beautés dans ma tour des années 70...), les miroirs sont ceux d'un placard, toujours utile dans un petit appartement.
Ainsi agrandir visuellement ce petit appartement se double avec le côté pratique des rangements, et ces portes miroirs reflètent en plus une décoration et un aménagement particulièrement réussis. Certes cet appartement de moins de 50m2 est plutôt petit (certains me diront qu'à Paris, c'est la surface d'un appartement de taille moyenne, sauf que tout le monde n'habite pas à Paris, n'est-ce pas?), mais cela ne transparait jamais à l'image. Il ne manque rien pour qu'il permette une vie confortable, avec une belle chambre aux murs chaleureux, une cuisine petite mais suffisante si on n'aime pas trop cuisiner et même un espace bureau astucieux dans le salon. Que demander de plus pour vivre agréablement en ville?

This is what I did at home (you can see a photo at the end of the article), and I must admit that I am very pleased with the result. It gives a new perspective to my not very big flat (well, big enough for a person who lives without children). As in this Swedish flat which dates from the end of the 19th century, and which has kept its beautiful original elements like the mouldings and the old bricks (alas, I don't have these beauties in my tower from the 70's...), the mirrors are those of a wardrobe, always useful in a small flat.
Thus, this small flat is visually enlarged with the practicality of storage, and these mirror doors reflect a particularly successful decoration and layout. Admittedly, this flat of less than 50m2 is rather small (some will tell me that in Paris, it is the surface of an average-sized flat, except that not everyone lives in Paris, right?), but this is never apparent in the picture. There is nothing missing to allow a comfortable life, with a nice bedroom with warm walls, a small but enough kitchen if you don't like to cook too much and even a clever office space in the living room. What more could you ask for to live comfortably in the city?
