Le Hygge est un projet abouti de maison container avec deux cheminées Focus, une à l'intérieur et une à l'extérieur (l'iconique modèle Gyrofocus), mené par l'équipe Box Hop pour ses propriétaires Emily & Seth Britt. Ils ont passé plus d'un an à penser et à construire cette maison, à partir de sept anciens containers maritimes usagés (voir la photo en fin d'article, pour le avant/après). Trois containers de 40 pieds et trois containers de 20 pieds ont été nécessaire pour réaliser cette grande maison, qui a été équipée en plus avec une immense terrasse à l'extérieur.
La décoration intérieure est inspirée par le style scandinave, même si nous nous trouvons au milieu des arbres dans l'Ohio. Les grandes ouvertures vitrées offrent une vision idyllique sur la forêt, quelle que soit la saison. Et la cheminée extérieure permet de profiter de la terrasse même s'il fait un peu frais. They spent over a year thinking about and building the house, using seven old shipping containers (see photo at the end of the article for before and after). Three 40-foot containers and three 20-foot containers were needed to build this large house, which was also equipped with a huge outdoor terrace.
The interior design is inspired by the Scandinavian style, even though we are in the middle of trees in Ohio. The large windows offer an idyllic view of the forest, whatever the season.
