Mouldings and fireplaces characterise this softly coloured family flat, which has been renovated in a contemporary style while retaining its charm. In a building constructed at the beginning of the 20th century in Gothenburg, Sweden, which still had the beautiful elements that were part of the architecture of the past centuries, we discover this two bedroom flat with a balcony and vast volumes.

It has a ceiling height of more than three metres, which is rare in more recent buildings, and stucco ornaments that run through the rooms. There are also two fireplaces, of the tiled stove type, which in the past were used to heat the rooms when modern heating was not yet installed. The century-old parquet floor has been renovated and now blends with contemporary elements such as the grey kitchen-diner, the pastel colours of the Nordsjö paintings, and furniture that mixes design lines with vintage furniture. The whole is harmonious, balanced and very bright.
