Cet appartement de seulement 40m2 pour quatre personnes a été aménagé avec à Berlin avec un plan développé de façon intelligente. Tirant parti de la hauteur sous plafond de 4 mètres, l'architecte en charge de son nouveau plan a prévu un système de couchage de type lits superposés, tout en conservant l'intimité des deux zones de nuit. Une est installée au premier niveau, comme dans une boîte mais qui possède une large ouverture pour ne pas se sentir confiné. L'autre est au-dessus de la première sur une mezzanine, accessible par quelques marches confortables, et suffisamment grande pour accueillir un lit double.
L'accès à l'appartement situé au cœur de Berlin, dans le quartier branché de Friedrichshain, mais dans une rue très calme, se fait directement depuis la rue. Et même s'il est en rez-de-chaussée, c'est un lieu très lumineux, où la décoration épurée met en valeur les beaux volumes. Le bois que l'on retrouve sur le cube où se trouve la première zone nuit, sur le sol et dans la cuisine, lui apporte un côté chaleureux, malgré l'utilisation majoritaire du blanc.
