Agrandie par une extension largement vitrée, cette maison en bois de peuplier à l'allure contemporaine a pris place dans un ancien bâtiment de ferme. Le bois utilisé pour l'extension est de récupération, afin que l'ajout se fonde au mieux dans l'architecture ancienne du bâtiment. Waw Architectes a réalisé la réhabilitation de l'ensemble du domaine, qui comprend quatre maisons près de Tours dans un ancien domaine agricole. Le site est entouré de massifs forestiers, et est près d'un étang. Cette maison en bois est la plus grande des quatre.
Elle fait partie du domaine de la Trigalière, et porte le nom de "Prepinson". Elle a retrouvé une volumétrie permettant l'aménagement des combles existants. L'extension accueille la grande pièce de vie, très lumineuse, avec sa double hauteur et sa cuisine ouverte. Elle permet de s'immerger dans la nature omniprésente autour de la maison. On trouve également dans la maison, trois chambres confortables.
Enlarged by a generously glazed extension, this poplar wood house with a contemporary look has been installed in an old farm building. The wood used for the extension is reclaimed, to ensure that the addition blends in as well as possible with the old architecture of the building. Waw Architectes carried out the renovation of the entire estate, which comprises four houses near Tours on a former farming estate. The site is surrounded by woodland, and is close to a pond. This wooden house is the largest of the four.
It is part of the Trigalière estate, and bears the name ‘Prepinson’. The volume of the house has been restored to allow the existing attic space to be converted. The extension houses the large, light-filled living room, with its double height and open-plan kitchen. It allows you to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings of the house. The house also has three comfortable bedrooms.
