Located in the heart of the 11th arrondissement in the République area, this 50m2 Parisian flat needed total renovation to become the perfect pied-à-terre for short stays. It has the authenticity of flats in Haussmann buildings, but now has a modern, comfortable feel, thanks to the careful renovation carried out by the professionals at Studio Castille. The interior designers have succeeded in preserving its original elegance and cachet while optimising circulation and light.
The original mouldings, parquet flooring and fireplace in the living room have of course been preserved, and combined with contemporary touches, the result is a totally successful meeting of two eras. The flat, which took four months to renovate, now boasts a living room with an open-plan kitchen, an office area set in a space overlooking the courtyard, a bedroom accessible from the living room and a compact but complete bathroom.
