À la retraite, Ghislaine a choisit de vivre sur la route. Elle s'est rapprochée d'un constructeur français, l'Atelier Bois d'Ici pour créer Birdy, une tiny house de 15m2. Cette petite maison mobile, bohème et pratique, lui permet désormais de voyager seule avec ses chats, sans renoncer au confort. Birdy condense confort et autonomie dans un format compact. Sa propriétaire a voulu une maison courte, légère et maniable pour parcourir l’Europe sans contrainte. Elle désirait aussi de la place pour ses chats et un intérieur chaleureux qui lui ressemble. L’équipe bretonne a construit Birdy en bois local non traité, pour un espace durable et agréable à vivre.
À l’intérieur, l’ambiance rappelle une cabane chaleureuse: boiseries partout, et petits objets qui racontent la personnalité de Ghislaine. Le salon possède une âme simple avec un banc, une étagère rustique et un poêle. La cuisine, équipée et pleine de rangements, inclut une table pliante et un coin café. La mezzanine ouvre sur deux grandes fenêtres qui baignent la chambre de lumière. Le mobilier dépareillé ajoute une touche rétro qui colle parfaitement à l’esprit du lieu. Pour voyager librement, Birdy embarque des panneaux solaires, une filtration d’eau, des toilettes sèches et un chauffe-eau hybride. When she retired, Ghislaine decided to live on the road. She approached French builder Atelier Bois d'Ici to create Birdy, a 15m2 tiny house. This small, bohemian and practical mobile home now allows her to travel alone with her cats, without sacrificing comfort. Birdy combines comfort and autonomy in a compact format. Its owner wanted a short, light and manoeuvrable house so she could travel around Europe without constraints. She also wanted space for her cats and a warm interior that reflected her personality. The Breton team built Birdy from local untreated wood, creating a sustainable and pleasant living space.
Inside, the atmosphere is reminiscent of a cosy cabin: wood panelling everywhere and small objects that reflect Ghislaine's personality. The living room has a simple soul with a bench, a rustic shelf and a stove. Its kitchen, fully equipped and with plenty of storage space, includes a folding table and a coffee corner. The mezzanine opens onto two large windows that bathe the bedroom in light. The mismatched furniture adds a retro touch that fits perfectly with the spirit of the place. To travel freely, Birdy is equipped with solar panels, a water filtration system, dry toilets and a hybrid water heater.
