La rénovation d’un appartement centenaire par une céramiste a préservé son architecture d’origine et ses détails authentiques
À Buenos Aires dans le quartier de Belgrano, une céramiste a effectué pour elle la rénovation d'un appartement centenaire, et en a révélé le potentiel. Donnant sur un jardin luxuriant, chaque détail du lieu raconte une histoire. Au rez-de-chaussée d’un immeuble classé, Eugenia Beccari, fondatrice de Curadoras, a trouvé un trésor rare, car depuis ses fenêtres, la verdure est son horizon. Céramiste engagée dans le travail artisanal, Eugenia laisse ici son empreinte avec délicatesse. Dans la cuisine, un rouge terre évoque l’argile qu’elle façonne chaque jour, apportant une profondeur aux meubles aux lignes courbes. Les étagères ouvertes exposent verres et pièces choisies avec soin. La salle de bain, conservée telle quelle, affiche ses carreaux turquoise et sa baignoire d’époque.
Le salon joue la carte des matières naturelles, tandis que la chambre mise sur la lumière et la simplicité. Ici, chaque détail semble à sa place, porté par un regard attentif et une vraie cohérence esthétique. La ventilation naturelle traverse les pièces grâce aux murs épais et aux hauteurs sous plafond, offrant une fraîcheur naturelle sans besoin de climatisation. L’installation électrique a été revue, mais l’esprit des lieux est resté intact, fidèle à l’architecture du début du 20e siècle. On the ground floor of a listed building, Eugenia Beccari, founder of Curadoras, found a rare treasure, as greenery is her horizon from her windows. A ceramist committed to craftsmanship, Eugenia leaves her mark here with delicacy. In the kitchen, an earthy red evokes the clay she shapes every day, adding depth to the curved furniture. Open shelves display carefully selected glasses and pieces. The bathroom, preserved as it was, displays its turquoise tiles and vintage bathtub.
The living room plays on natural materials, while the bedroom focuses on light and simplicity. Here, every detail seems to be in its place, guided by a careful eye and a true aesthetic coherence. Natural ventilation flows through the rooms thanks to the thick walls and high ceilings, providing natural coolness without the need for air conditioning. The electrical installation has been updated, but the spirit of the place has remained intact, faithful to the architecture of the early 20th century.
