Aménager un appartement de 55m2 avec du béton brut et des blocs de verre
Pour aménager un appartement de 55m2, un ancien deux-pièces transformé en studio, les designers de SALT INTERIOR ont utilisé le béton, les pavés de verre et la couleur. Désormais le béton ne se cache plus derrière un décor. Le jeune propriétaire, ingénieur en informatique, a refusé toute imitation pour laisser les matériaux d'origine s'exprimer. Dans cette surface presque brute livrée par le promoteur, le plafond, les murs avec le câblage apparent composent une base aux influences industrielles. Et cela même s'il s'agit d'un appartement neuf. Certaines cloisons ont été abattues pour ouvrir la perspective et laisser circuler la lumière. Les blocs de verre installés entre la cuisine et la salle de bain forment une paroi translucide qui devient un élément graphique fort.
La cuisine rouge dynamise la pièce principale. Les façades lisses s'associent à un sol poli et à un plafond minéral. Un volume central dissimule le réfrigérateur côté cuisine et des rangements côté chambre. Dans cette pièce, le bleu profond invite au repos et contraste avec le bois clair. Le lit repose sur un podium intégrant des tiroirs pratiques pour optimiser la surface. Un rideau peut clore la pièce pour plus d'intimité. La salle de bain associe carreaux verts et blocs de verre pour capter la lumière naturelle. Ici, la couleur structure les fonctions et accompagne tous les moments de la journée. To furnish a 55m2 flat, a former two-room apartment converted into a studio, the designers at SALT INTERIOR used concrete, glass blocks and colour. Concrete is no longer hidden behind décor. The young owner, a computer engineer, rejected any imitation in favour of letting the original materials speak for themselves. In this almost raw space delivered by the developer, the ceiling and walls with exposed wiring form a base with industrial influences. And this is despite the fact that it is a new flat. Some partitions were knocked down to open up the space and allow light to flow through. The glass blocks installed between the kitchen and the bathroom form a translucent wall that becomes a strong graphic element.
The red kitchen energises the main room. Its smooth fronts are combined with a polished floor and a mineral ceiling. A central unit conceals the refrigerator on the kitchen side and storage space on the bedroom side. In this room, the deep blue colour invites you to relax and contrasts with the light wood. The bed rests on a platform with practical drawers to optimise space. A curtain can close off the room for more privacy. The bathroom combines green tiles and glass blocks to capture natural light.
