Une cloison translucide en polycarbonate apporte la lumière dans un couloir et l'agrandit visuellement tout en étant une solution économique
Ce couloir autrefois étroit et sombre a totalement changé d'atmosphère après que les propriétaires aient décidé d'installer une cloison translucide en polycarbonate qui lui apporte la lumière et l'agrandit visuellement. Le salon est également embelli grâce à cette installation qui est du "home made" (pour voir comment la réaliser n'hésitez pas à lire cet article), à partir de bois et de polycarbonate, un matériau léger, facile à mettre en oeuvre, et économique. Bien entendu, il ne peut s'agir d'un mur porteur à ouvrir, mais d'une simple cloison intérieure, dont la suppression et le remplacement ne portent pas atteinte à la solidité de la maison.
Installer une cloison translucide en polycarbonate contrairement à une verrière classique, permet de laisser passer la lumière sans vision de ce qui se trouve derrière, ce qui peut être nécessaire quand la pièce sur laquelle elle donne n'est pas toujours parfaitement rangée (ce qui arrive souvent pour une entrée). Ici, on remarquera en outre que l'appareillage de bois de part et d'autre de la cloison est d'un graphisme différent, une bonne idée de personnalisation. This once narrow and dark hallway has totally changed its atmosphere after the owners decided to install a translucent polycarbonate partition that brings light and enlarges it visually. The living room is also beautified thanks to this "home made" installation (to see how to make it, please read this article), made from wood and polycarbonate, a light, easy to install and economical material. Of course, it cannot be a load-bearing wall to be opened, but a simple interior partition, the removal and replacement of which does not affect the strength of the house.
Installing a translucent polycarbonate partition, unlike a traditional glass wall, allows light to pass through without seeing what is behind it, which may be necessary when the room it opens onto is not always perfectly tidy (which often happens in an entrance hall). In this case, the wood trim on either side of the partition is of a different design, a good idea for customisation. The photo at the bottom of the article shows the hallway before the work was done, and we can say that this is a totally successful before and after, with a very small financial investment, but also a little personal work.
