Cette maison a été construite en 1910 en Argentine et nécessitait une profonde rénovation. Les propriétaires voulaient conserver l'âme du bâtiment et trouver un équilibre entre leurs goûts différents, avec une décoration fusion entre classique et moderne. Ils avaient déjà l'expérience passée de deux autres rénovations dans la passé, et se sont attaqués au chantier sans appréhension en se faisant aider par l'architecte d'intérieur Rob Ortiz. Le gros du travail a été terminé en huit mois, ils ont ensuite emménagé dans la maison, et ont passé encore trois mois à faire les finitions.
Lui est plus classique, et elle aime le style contemporain, ils ont donc choisi des couleurs sobres, des lignes classiques ou design avec du mobilier sur mesure, pour réussir cette décoration fusion. Les revêtements muraux et les sols ont été changés pour des matériaux actuels faciles à entretenir, mais avec un aspect intemporel. La cuisine est reliée au jardin par une baie vitrée et d'un style industriel qui convient aux deux personnes qui forment le couple. The owners wanted to keep the soul of the building and find a balance between their different tastes, with a fusion of classic and modern decoration. They already had experience of two previous renovations, and tackled the job without apprehension with the help of interior designer Rob Ortiz. The bulk of the work was completed in eight months, they then moved into the house, and spent another three months doing the finishing touches.
He is more classic and she likes contemporary style, so they chose restrained colours, classic and designer lines and custom-made furniture to achieve this fusion of design. The wall and floor coverings were changed to modern materials that are easy to maintain, but with a timeless look. The kitchen is connected to the garden by a bay window and has an industrial style that suits the couple.
