L'ancienne gare d'Askeröd dans la région de Malmö en Suède a été transformée en une maison familiale pleine de charme. Construite en 1865, elle a eu plusieurs vies. Les détails d'origine ont été soigneusement préservées et exploitées astucieusement comme dans la salle de bain, qui se trouve dans l'ancienne salle d'attente et où le meuble professionnel accueille désormais les produits d'hygiène. Lorsque l'ancienne gare a été abandonnée par les trains, et les rails démontés, elle a été tout d'abord transformée en bureau de poste pour la ville. Puis elle a été vendue et rénovée en une maison où les pièces à la décoration colorée se succèdent.
Ce n'est pas une maison banale, la maison de tout le monde. Le charme de l'ancien conviendra à certains et pas à d'autres, mais tous reconnaitront qu'elle est vraiment magnifique avec sa façade en briques, et son parc comme un écrin de verdure. Les Scandinaves aiment beaucoup la couleur, contrairement à ce que les intérieurs blancs et bois pourraient laisser supposer. Ici, c'est un intérieur typiquement classique du pays, avec l'utilisation du rouge profond, du bleu gris, du vert, avec un bel équilibre. C'est un univers atypique juste ce qu'il faut, et on aime beaucoup le résultat de cette rénovation.
The former Askeröd railway station in the Malmö region of Sweden has been transformed into a charming family home. Built in 1865, it has had several lives. The original details have been carefully preserved and cleverly exploited, as in the bathroom, which is located in the former waiting room and where the professional cabinet now houses hygiene products. When the old station was abandoned by the trains, and the rails dismantled, it was first turned into a post office for the town. Then it was sold and renovated into a house with a succession of colourfully decorated rooms.
It is not an ordinary house, everyone's house. The old charm will suit some and not others, but all will recognise that it is really beautiful with its brick façade and its park like a green oasis. Scandinavians are very fond of colour, contrary to what white and wooden interiors might suggest. Here, it is a typically classic Scandinavian interior, with the use of deep red, blue-grey and green, with a nice balance. It's an atypical universe, and we really like the result of this renovation.
