C'est l'architecte Nicolás Vera qui a réalisé la transformation d'une maison ancienne en une demeure moderne et lumineuse en Argentine, pour sa soeur , la créatrice de la marque de vêtements Ampi Vera. Autrefois dotée d'une façade en briques sombres et d'avant-toits qui bloquaient la luminosité à l'intérieur, la maison est devenue un lieu clair et inspiré par l'habitat des pays scandinaves. L'architecte a conservé sa structure, mais l'a réinventée et agrandie légèrement.

La piscine était déjà existante et a été rénovée et dotée d'un éclairage ainsi que d'une plage pratique. Pourquoi réaliser la transformation d'une maison ancienne alors que parfois il suffit d'en faire construire une neuve? Dans ce cas précis (et c'est souvent une des raisons principales), la propriétaire aimait le quartier et la maturité du jardin, ce qui l'a incitée à acheter la propriété après une longue réflexion. Transforming an old house into a bright, modern home

Architect Nicolás Vera transformed an old house into a bright, modern home in Argentina for his sister, the designer of the Ampi Vera clothing brand. Formerly with a dark brick façade and eaves that blocked out the light inside, the house has been transformed into a bright space inspired by Scandinavian living. The architect kept the structure, but reinvented and enlarged it slightly.

The existing swimming pool was renovated and fitted with lighting and a practical deck. Why convert an old house when sometimes you can just build a new one? In this case (and this is often one of the main reasons), the owner loved the neighbourhood and the mature garden, which prompted her to buy the property after careful consideration.
