Cet appartement de 47m2 situé dans un immeuble construit il y a une cinquantaine d'années sur l'île de Hong-Kong, a été rénové pour un couple de retraités dans un style Bauhaus par LittleMORE interior design. Il prend en compte la problématique du vieillissement de la population, un problème important en Asie, où les jeunes générations ont de moins en moins d'enfants. Au cœur de sa conception se trouve une configuration flexible qui s'adapte aux besoins changeants des résidents âgés.

Une chambre supplémentaire a été créée, en enfilade avec la chambre principale, pouvant accueillir une aide à domicile, si nécessaire, proche du couple la nuit. La conception originale de cet appartement de 47m2 était dépassée pour les besoins spécifiques des propriétaires, mais il recelait un potentiel évident avec sa lumière abondante et ses vues magnifiques sur la ville. Les choix de matière et de couleurs ont été méticuleusement pensés, pour donner à l'appartement de la personnalité en même temps qu'une ambiance apaisante et décontractée.

A 47m2 flat suitable for a retired owner couple

This 47m2 flat, located in a building constructed some fifty years ago on Hong Kong Island, has been renovated for a retired couple in Bauhaus style by LittleMORE interior design. It takes into account the problem of an ageing population, a major issue in Asia, where younger generations are having fewer and fewer children. At the heart of the design is a flexible configuration that adapts to the changing needs of elderly residents.

An additional bedroom has been created, adjoining the main bedroom, which can accommodate a live-in carer, if required, close to the couple at night. The original design of this 47m2 flat was outdated for the specific needs of the owners, but it had obvious potential with its abundant light and magnificent views over the city. The choice of materials and colours has been meticulously thought through, to give the flat personality as well as a soothing, relaxed atmosphere.
