C'est un architecte qui a rénové il y a quelques années cette maison construite il y a 500 ans et en a fait une demeure contemporaine
C'est l'architecte Pascal Cheikh Djavadi qui a rénové il y a une vingtaine d'années cette construction aux lignes géométriques, qui est pourtant une maison construite il y a 500 ans à Ibiza. Et même si elle a une allure contemporaine, c'est bien un bâtiment ancien devant lequel nous nous trouvons, une authentique finca de l'île, une vieille ferme aux plafonds de bois qui sont là depuis son origine, et qui avec les pierres de la façade font toute sa beauté brute.
Elle allie sa décoration contemporaine, inspirée par les sixties réalisé il y a peu par un architecte d'intérieur, à l'esprit rustique. Elle est entourée par la campagne ibizienne, et offre des vues imprenables sur la vallée. La maison principale comprend deux chambres avec salles de bains privatives. Des bâtiments supplémentaires, comme des maisons d'invités, comportent également des chambres avec leur propre salle de bain. Enfin une piscine vient rafraîchir les occupants pendant les longues journées chaudes sur cette île des Baléares
Twenty years ago, architect Pascal Cheikh Djavadi renovated this geometrically designed building, which is actually a house built 500 years ago on Ibiza. And even though it has a contemporary look, it's really an old building we're standing in front of, an authentic finca from the island, an old farmhouse with wooden ceilings that have been there since its origin, and which together with the stones on the façade make up its raw beauty.
It combines contemporary decor, inspired by the sixties and recently designed by an interior architect, with a rustic spirit. It is surrounded by the Iberian countryside, with breathtaking views over the valley. The main house has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. Additional buildings, as guest houses, also have bedrooms with their own bathrooms. There is also a swimming pool to refresh guests during the long, hot days on this Balearic island.
