C'est un lieu totalement atypique que nous découvrons ici, une maison de ville dans une ancienne caserne de pompiers de Manhattan construite à l'origine au 19e siècle. Elle a été fermée dans les années 1970 et a bénéficié ensuite de plusieurs rénovations et améliorations pour conserver sa façade en briques telle qu'elle était à l'origine. La rénovation intérieure a été menée par JG Neukomm Architecture.
La propriété est immense, plus de 600m2 au total, mais inclus en rez-de-chaussée, là où les camions rouges se garaient autrefois, près à partir combattre le feu, un garage pour plusieurs voitures. Elle possède également un ascenseur pour desservir les différents niveaux. La pièce principale de la maison est un magnifique salon avec cheminée, salle à manger et cuisine ouverte dont les murs sont recouverts de ces anciennes briques, datant de l'origine du bâtiment.
